Now that I have my login back. Here's my post. I'd like one of those as well. Looked through the Chief's list. Been away too long. Didn't know a soul.

One of those would look pretty nice hanging at Chiefs Bar and Grill in Odessa, WA. Owned and operated by two Navy Chiefs, my husband and me.

Congrats to all recently selected Chiefs. For those previously selected remember what the season is about and lets not read about it in the paper. Every year we know what is expected of us, but somebody still manages to screw it up.

Congrats to all the new Selects!! I knew a few, but as time wears on that list is getting smaller and smaller. Awaiting final approval for retirement. The magnets are nice!! It would be nice to have one. Cheers!

I used to have one of those. I got it at NABLC CPO Club but someone swiped it off my car. They left the three Anchors but eventually it disappeared too. Would love to get one or more again.

Hey fellow Chiefs!

How come we haven't gotten 350 paid plates yet? Hell, how come we haven't gotten 3,500 paid registrations yet? This is a quality product, giving us the recognition that we rate, but apparently do not deserve, because we can't even muster the bare minimum of applicants.

Let's take advantage of the opportunity given us through the selection board, to encourage the new Chiefs to register for the plates. It is more than a little embarrasing to have to rely on the selectees to carry our burden, but we have thus far been ineffective in our own efforts so we should turn to our new brothers and sisters.

Encourage the new CPOs to register for the plates, and if you all have not yet done so, turn two and get it done.

Hi Mike. You're right! I thought when I took over this effort that getting 350 applications would be easy. Especially since I have provided the ability to pay online via Paypal and have the form ready to print and sign at the link below.

Virginia Chief Petty Officer License Plates

The main problem that I have seen is that people are interested, but refuse to fill out the form and part with $10.00 because they're afraid that it won't pass and that they'll be out ten bucks.

Come on - it's TEN BUCKS! It's not like we're asking for $600 of your hard-earned money! Fill out the form, send a $10.00 check and your name will be added to the roster. When we have 350 applications, we take it to the General Assembly for approval.

At present, I have approximately 70 applications. Only 280 left to go! Come on and get onboard people!

We need people to sign up and help pass the word! Get our brothers and sisters in your mess involved. Those of you who are retired - I know many of you still have a circle of friends who are retired CPOs as well. Get them onboard!

I proudly have my magnet on my car. I am sorry that I cannot sign up for the CPO license plate, I have a WW2 Vet plate which is personalized with USN9. Please tell us more about how to get the coin. It looks great.

I only have a few of the coins - not enough of them to offer for sale. I'll be giving them away sometime soon here at the forum.

I think the Virginia Navy Plate was a great idea for the CPO community as a whole. Great job in getting the initiative started. I wouldn't have expected it to be that much of a problem to get 350 applications with as much of an active and CPO community we have in the Hampton Roads area not to mention the state.
On the same note I have to say, taking on a task comes the burden of task accomplishment. It seems as though your frustration in not getting enough applicants is being transfered to us all. You have no way of knowing if people are having to help family members who are struggling with lost jobs, houses and just trying to make ends meet in this floundering economy. In some cases $10 is THAT much. So, you may want to rethink your stance before you start coming down on your fellow brothers and sisters as a mess in not supporting your cause. As they may be supporting a much greater or personal cause. Just another view. If you are able, support the cause.

Hello fellow CPO's,
Just wanted to take a moment to say Thanks to all the genuines who helped us all thru the induction season, I really didnt understand it all then and am sure it will take some time for it ALL to make sense but I can appreciate all the work put into transforming us into Chiefs, What an undertaking.
I can tell you that I will be a part of the season every year as it was a life changing event for me and I intend to give back.
If anyone needs anything, just hit me up and consider it done.
Thanks again brothers and Sisters.
